To the Patients and Friends of Vason Family Dentistry,
There are exciting new things happening at Vason Family Dentistry! In fact, our very practice name is beginning to take on a whole new meaning. But first, let me take a quick moment to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Vason.
Well, I should be clearer. My name is Dr. Carlisle Vason. I am the son of the original Dr. Hamilton Vason from whom you have been receiving dental care for the past 35 years. On Tuesday, June 23rd, I will be joining the practice to work with my father and carry on his legacy in the community of Northwest Atlanta by providing patient-centered, high-quality dental care. We are extremely excited about this new season for the practice and we believe you will be, too.
For the past several years, my wife, Kelsey, and I have been living in Augusta, GA, where I graduated from The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University in May, 2019. Since graduation, I’ve been undergoing extra training in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency at the VA Hospital. This program has equipped me with additional skills in dental implant placement, IV conscious sedation, and various oral and periodontal surgeries. I’m looking forward to applying these techniques within Vason Family Dentistry to continue providing our patients with the most up-to-date, comprehensive treatment options in the ever-changing world of dentistry!
Outside of work, you can find me spending time with Kelsey and our exuberant dog, “Georgia”. In fact, if you venture to a state park on a Saturday morning, you may bump into us on a long sunrise trail run with “Georgia” in the lead. You can rest assured though; this run will be followed up by a hearty pancake breakfast at home. In fact, this little tradition we have developed combines some of my favorite things: exercise, the outdoors, and cooking/eating good food. I’ll likely be doing the dishes, because Kelsey will need to begin studying for an upcoming exam in her Nurse Practitioner Masters Degree Program. But, throw in a good book for the post-run, post-pancake, post-dish duty recuperation and I’ll be a happy man!
We are excited to move to Atlanta and to begin life here. We hope to quickly find and begin investing in a church community. We are excited to reconnect with high school and college friends. We are eager to get involved in work that helps the city flourish and that addresses the needs of its under-resourced populations. Most of all, I am excited to meet all of you: the wonderful patients of Vason Family Dentistry. If you are in need of dental care, please don’t hesitate to call and schedule an appointment. Ask for Dr. Vason!
